This afternoon we interviewed Franco who will be going to the Harrodian School.
Next school: The Harrodian
How did you find the 11+?
At the beginning I found it quite challenging but then I found it a lot easier.
What has been your favourite subject at Parsons Green Prep and why?
Topic, because we always learn something new and fun, like the Fairtrade fair we did recently. I loved making the breakfast bars and selling them to the teachers and parents.
What after-school club or activity have you enjoyed the most?
I love the Chelsea Foundation football club. It’s really fun – we do matches and drills and I learn new things, like improving my ball control.
What has been your greatest achievement here?
I am the only child to get an athletics medal from the ISA (Independent Schools Association) two years in a row. The first year I did sprint and the second year I did sprint and long jump. The first year I came third overall in the sprint and last year I came fourth overall in the sprint and third in the long jump. I would have come first but I stepped over the line a little bit.
What will you miss most?
My friends and the teachers.
What’s your favourite memory of Parsons Green Prep?
Going to Hindleap Warren adventure camp because it was so much fun. Swimming through the muddy water was brilliant. We went underground in a pitch black tunnel and had to find our way out. You had to crawl because it was really narrow.
How do you feel about going to your new school?
I feel a bit nervous but mostly excited.
What are you most looking forward to at your new school?
Sports and chemistry. I am really into science and they have a big sports ground.
What would you like to do professionally?
Maybe study chemistry and become a chemist in a laboratory. Or become a footballer.
