Name: Freddie

Next school: King’s College School

How did you find the 11+?

I found it really nerve-wracking and worrying but PGP has supported me the whole way and I am very grateful for their help. I am well-prepared for my secondary school.

What has been your favourite subject at Parsons Green Prep and why?

English, because Miss Melissa is so passionate about her subject and makes it really exciting. I like comprehension, writing – everything about it really.

What after-school club or activity have you enjoyed the most?

Chelsea Foundation football club. It’s great fun to play with Chelsea training coaches and I really enjoy it.

What has been your greatest achievement here?

Becoming head boy and house captain of Drake.

What will you miss most?

The friends and the environment. It’s a really warm place and I like it here.

What’s your favourite memory of Parsons Green Prep?

Hindleap Warren, which is the Year 5 residential trip. We did orienteering and there were signs on trees and you went around the woods with three friends and found the signs. It was really good because it taught us how to be independent and responsible.

How do you feel about going to your new school?

I feel prepared but I am also a bit worried, just about the first couple of weeks and all the subjects. I don’t want to be overloaded. I want it to be like a secondary school version of this school. I want to look forward to going to school in the morning.

What are you most looking forward to at your new school?

The facilities – they are outstanding.

What would you like to do professionally?

I would like to be a footballer. I would like to be a striker or left wing and to play for Arsenal and England. I am left-footed but maybe I could be like Robben, who cuts in and shoots with his left foot.
