This afternoon we interview Jasmine who is going to Ibstock Place.
How did you find the 11+?
I felt very supported and well prepared.
What has been your favourite subject at Parsons Green Prep and why?
Topic, because I always remember what we learned in topic and the lessons are always really fun, interesting and different. I really enjoyed learning about the Tudors and Henry the Eight in Year 3. I liked how they were very different from the other eras and how their clothes were strange. I liked learning about Henry the Eight’s six wives and the school trips we did around the Tudors.
What after-school club or activity have you enjoyed the most?
I like Chamber Choir the most because I did it for three or four years, the teacher is very nice and I enjoy singing. I also like netball and drama.
What has been your greatest achievement here?
Becoming head girl, because I felt very proud of myself and my family was very proud of me and I felt important. I liked having some responsibility.
What will you miss most?
The environment – seeing all the smiling faces and recognising everyone. I will miss all my friends and the people I know here and the energy. It is a very happy and welcoming school.
What’s your favourite memory of Parsons Green Prep?
I have loads of good memories but the most recent was the ski trip this term. We went to this big pool and it had an outside pool, Jacuzzi, wave pool and water slides.
How do you feel about going to your new school?
I am excited to learn new subjects but I am also nervous to make friends and see if I fit in there, but I think I will. And getting to know to know the teachers and finding my way around the school.
What are you most looking forward to at your new school?
Trying out new subjects with more equipment, for example science in secondary school – you do a lot more setting fire to stuff and mixing chemicals together. You can’t do that at primary school because you are too young.
What would you like to do professionally?
Maybe a career in the performing arts or in the city as a businesswoman, or being a lawyer as my parents are lawyers.
