Year 3 went to Woodrow High House (http://londonyouth.org/residential-centres/woodrow-high-house/) in Buckinghamshire last week. They took part in lots of varied activities such as orienteering, low ropes and Manor Mysteries. The children worked as a team to share, cooperate and communicate together to walk blindfolded through an assault course while listening out for directional instructions. Aoibhin noted that she learnt ‘how to be brave and listen to others’ and Pedro learnt ‘how to not be afraid of the dark in the forest’. We all returned to school tired and needing a well-deserved rest but remembering the fantastic few days away on our first ever residential!
