This term in STEM club Miss Hayley and her intrepid young scientists are looking at different forms of energy and how to harness this. They recently became snake charmers by creating their own snakes out of crepe paper. They then rubbed a plastic ruler against their clothes so that small particles passed from their clothing to the ruler. The build-up of particles caused static electricity, which was strong enough to lift up the paper. Congratulations to Chloe, who built up enough static electricity to win the snake race across the tables!
