Aided by glorious sunshine, Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic stay at Hindleap Warren in Ashdown Forest recently. From flying through trees on a zip wire, rock climbing, abseiling and archery, to wading through mud and avoiding the welly monster in the notorious Forest Adventure, the children had endless fun and showed impressive teamwork and courage. The instructors were also excellent, assisted by Miss Polly and Miss Tammy. In Pioneering, the children used their STEM skills to compete, Spartans versus Athenians-style, in order to build and fire the best catapult, whilst in Bushcraft they learnt the new skills of making fire and building camps. Watch out Bear Grylls!
