This summer and autumn we wanted to highlight and celebrate the excellent nurseries we work closely with in and around Fulham, so we are running a series of quick Q&A interviews with them. First up is Parson’s Green Nursery (www.parsonsgreennursery.com) at 22 Cortayne Road.
How many children does your nursery take?
Parson’s Green Nursery accommodates 53 children at any given time – 12 in our baby room, 24 in our toddler room and 17 in our Preparatory Class. We currently have 92 children registered with us.
What’s new at the nursery?
We are always evolving and improving our curriculum, which also has a range of extra-curricular activities. These currently include French, Performing Arts, Football, Cookery, Music and indoor and outdoor PE.
What indoor facilities do you have?
We are fortunate to have very large, bright and airy class rooms with high ceilings and big windows, which makes our space unique for Fulham. We also benefit from a large indoor hall that we use for some of our extra-curricular activities and on wet rainy days for physical and creative activities.
What outdoor facilities do you have?
We benefit from our own private playground which we use as an outdoor classroom. It’s visited by children twice a day. It is nice and shady in the summer and has many facilities including a gazebo, climbing wall, sandpit, planting facilities and outdoor easels. We also have a large buggy shed for parents to leave their scooters and buggies in during the day.
What’s the best bit about your nursery?
Parson’s Green Nursery is a totally independent nursery school. We are not a chain or group and this is reflected in the care we take to get to know families and children personally. We have a wonderful team of committed staff who love what they do and our core team have been working together for years. The nursery is owned by the principal, Miss Camilla, who lives locally and takes an active role in the management.
Who is the best contact there?
You can contact Miss Camilla directly at email@example.com.
