Writing, aliens and faces from food

10 November 2020

Our Reception children have been very busy recently. They practised writing their name with objects from around their house – part of understanding the importance of letter formation whilst using their gross and fine motor skills. They then listened to the story You Can’t Eat a Princess by Gillian Rogerson. We looked at all the different aliens that captured King Cupcake. The children then made their own alien from objects from around their house or Playdough. And finally they have been exploring their topic ‘All About Me’. After focusing on what we look like and how we are similar to our friends and family, but also different, we made our faces out of food. We looked closely at the shapes that make up our faces. Well done everybody – great work.
