The PGP community was recently invited by Miss Ellie to take part in Rainforest Concern’s active challenge to clock up a total of 8,260km to Manaus, Brazil, without using carbon fuel. Throughout May children, teachers and parents tracked and recorded their distances and we totalled 5,640km as a whole school! Not quite to Manaus but a pretty outstanding effort nonetheless. The finale was a fancy dress day with parrots, jaguars, butterflies and all sorts of other animals from the Amazon rainforest and we raised £288 for Rainforest Concern. Well done to Miss Ellie for organising the event and to everyone for taking part in helping to protect our planet. You can see more pictures at https://www.facebook.com/ParsonsGreenPrep.
