Year 6 enjoyed their first Discovery Science lesson of the Summer term! We surrounded ourselves with nature in Bishops Park, focusing on the scents, sounds and sights. The children learnt the names of plants and flowers and they especially loved smelling the sage, lavender and rosemary. We even visited the gardens at Fulham Palace as we had been writing reports on this beautiful building in English lessons.
‘I saw many birds, insects, flowers and many types of plant. I smelt minty leaves and rosemary. I heard buzzing bees and swaying trees. I felt rough leaves and smooth petals.’ Eric, Y6.Categories: General news
