School’s back
Welcome back to all our children, parents and staff for the first full week of the Spring term. We love the snow at PGP so it was very exciting to see a dusting recently – well snapped Mr Brendan. We are very excited for what the term will bring!
Our charities announced
We are delighted to announce our four charities this year, voted for by the children in their respective houses. They are:
Attenborough – Fiorentini Foundation Performing Arts Charity
Earhart – Mind
Shackleton – Battersea Cats and Dogs Home
Williams – London Retired Police Dogs Trust
We are very excited about raising funds for these great causes – more news soon.
Online safety workshop
We are really enjoyed our online safety workshop for our parents in February. An Educator Manager from Coram Life Education joined us and shared their expertise with us, along with answering questions. We are keen to help our children safely navigate their way around the web and feel that this is a very important topic at the moment.
Cityscapes in art
Year 2 have been looking at cityscapes and have drawn the London skyline in pen thinking about the foreground, middle ground and background. They added colour using watercolours and they are looking fantastic. It’s great to see so much care and concentration going on in the classroom.
Earhart’s charity day
The school enjoyed a heartwarming celebration of togetherness and wellbeing as we raised awareness for the mental health charity Mind, one of our four chosen charities this year. Children took part in various mindfulness activities, exploring calmness, creativity and connection. Together as a whole school we created a beautiful Gratitude Tree, filled with messages of hope. The event not only supported an important cause but also strengthened our sense of community, reminding everyone of the power of kindness and reflection. If you wish to contribute to this great cause please use the QR code and follow the instructions.
