NEW – wraparound care launches in September 2026

Introduction

Parsons Green Prep (PGP) are delighted to introduce our new wraparound care provision, developed in response to the growing needs of our school community. We recognise that modern family life often requires flexibility, and that many parents balance busy working schedules alongside school commitments. Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and enriching environment beyond the standard school day – offering both support for parents and a positive, engaging experience for all of our pupils from Reception – Year 6.

Morning Care

Monday to Friday

08:00 – 08:30

Children are welcomed into morning care where they can play games, read and socialise with friends, providing a gentle and positive start to the day.

After-School Care

Monday to Thursday

Reception – Year 6

After-School Care sessions run from the end of each year group’s lessons until 18:00, allowing for a seamless transition from the school day or club into a relaxing and enjoyable after-school environment.

Until 17.00, the children will have the opportunity to either attend a PGP club or PGP’s Focus Club to finish homework, read and complete various structured tasks.

Chill Club begins at 17.00 where the children will be offered board games, craft activities and the opportunity to socialise with friends. For those staying after 17:00, the school will provide a range of healthy foods and snacks such as wraps, cold platters and fruit provided by our caterer, Thomas Franks.

For the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, legal ratios are strictly observed and therefore there is a need to know the number of children booked in wrap around care 24 hours in advance.

Sibling Club

For pupils in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, who have a sibling in the Prep school, sibling club will run free of charge from the end of their lessons, to Prep dismissal at 16.00. If the Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 child participates in a PGP club, as does their sibling, they will be invited to remain in sibling club free of charge from the end of their club until 17.00 when the Prep club finishes. If a child is not participating in a PGP club, they will be admitted into wraparound care at the prices listed above. Please see the Parent Handbook for further details.

A Safe and Supportive Environment

Our wraparound care is delivered by qualified, paediatric first-aid trained and experienced members of staff who know our pupils well, ensuring a familiar, secure and caring atmosphere. The provision reflects our school values, supporting children’s wellbeing, independence and social development in a relaxed and happy setting.
