The PGP community was recently invited by Miss Ellie to take part in Rainforest Concern’s active challenge to clock up a total of 8,260km to Manaus, Brazil, without using carbon fuel. Throughout May children, teachers and parents tracked and recorded their distances and we totalled 5,640km as a whole school! Not quite to Manaus but a pretty outstanding effort nonetheless. The finale was a fancy dress day with parrots, jaguars, butterflies and all sorts of other animals from the Amazon rainforest and we raised £288 for Rainforest Concern. Well done to Miss Ellie for organising the event and to everyone for taking part in helping to protect our planet. ![]()
