Netball

In the autumn term we begin our netball season, which runs right the way through until spring. During this period, the children are given the opportunity to enhance skills taught in PE lessons in our morning Netball club. It is a fantastic learning experience for them to pick up the flow of the game and grow in confidence as team players. This club is also a great way to get children stimulated for the beginning of the day. They learn the technical rules of netball and use the moving and passing skills in a game-based situation. We tighten up on footwork, working on marking efficiently and improving spatial awareness. These sessions help to get the girls ready for the term’s fixtures against other schools. These are always an exciting opportunity for the children to express themselves as team players and wear their heart on their sleeve for their school.
