All children are welcome to express themselves musically and creatively in our orchestra, irrespective of having instrumental lessons. We make full use of our extensive range of tuned and untuned percussion, giving the pupils the opportunity to try out a variety of instruments which they may not have seen before. We cover a range of music genres, from traditional melodies such as The Hall of the Mountain King to world music and modern classics such as the Beatles. As well as introducing the children to new instruments, members learn invaluable lessons on how to perform from our professional musician, who leads the sessions.

New for September 2026 – wraparound care
Parsons Green Prep (PGP) is delighted to introduce our new wraparound care provision, developed in response to the growing needs of our school community. We recognise that modern family life often requires flexibility and that many parents balance busy working schedules alongside school commitments.
Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and enriching environment beyond the standard school day, offering both support for parents and a positive, engaging experience for all of our pupils from Reception to Year 6.
There is Morning Care from 8-8.30am (Mon-Fri), providing a gentle and positive start to the day, and a Focus Club (homework/structured tasks) followed by a Chill Club (games and socialising) in the afternoons from 3 until 6pm (Mon-Thurs).
