Creative Coders

Can you talk to computers? In Creative Coders children have the opportunity to learn the language of computing. Working with a group, we will investigate a variety of ways to communicate with the computer and will program code through a range of activities and projects. Working with HTML, the children will learn the language of webpages. In Scratch, building a sequence of blocks will allow them to bring their character to life through, music, movements and costume changes. The endless possibilities programming allows will nurture and satisfy the children’s curiosity of what can be accomplished through coding. Thinking critically will be applied as we work to edit code on our way to creating our own code.  Finding patterns, debugging and evaluating are all important skills we will engage in as we work towards becoming creative coders.
