Following her passion for science and anything equestrian, Miss Samantha studied BSc Equine Science at Nottingham Trent University accompanied by her horse, Shalamar, who also lived on campus for three years. Whilst there she developed a strong interest in pathology and discovered a previously unknown genetic variant in a prevalent equestrian disease. After gaining invaluable experience working for key players in the pharmaceutical industry, Miss Samantha completed her postgraduate at St Mary’s University and pursued her metier as a teacher. Since starting at PGP in 2018 Miss Samantha has led the STEAM curriculum and is Head of Teaching and Learning. When not at work she enjoys road cycling, golf and horse riding.

The whole of Parsons Green Prep wanted to say congratulations to Rikhil, one of our very keen football players, who has been invited to take part in the Juventus World Cup (Youth) in Turin in Italy from Monday 10 to Friday 15 June 2024, as well as the Camacha Cup in Portugal.
Following his trials with Juventus, Rikhil is joining the world's largest and most prestigious youth football tournament. Each year, players from across England are carefully selected to represent Juventus Academy England at the Juventus World Cup (Youth). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the players and one which will reflect very positively on the local community.
The tournament consists of elite players and teams from over 32 different nations, with the opening ceremony attracting over 50,000 spectators. The event provides young players with a great education, both on and off the field of play. The learning curve is steep, however, as they will develop vital life skills, sportsmanship, teamwork and self-discipline. Also, by integrating with children from different nationalities and backgrounds, this event provides a rich cultural experience as it helps build young players’ confidence, self-esteem and communication skills.

Year 5 went on a school trip to the British Museum and were transported back in time to the world of Greek mythology. This has set us up perfectly for our Humanities topic this term, Ancient Greece. Think gods, goddesses and epic heroes.
