Reception have been busy exploring the season of winter. We watched a snowstorm and discussed the different things that we could see happening. For their task the children made their own snowstorm in a jar. They mixed white paint into water and then added oil, glitter, snowflakes, sequins and fizzy tablets to create a snowstorm effect. It was fascinating to find out that the water and oil do not mix together and to watch the oil bubbles pop when the tablet was added.
