Success in football, a great Senior Schools Fair and World Teachers’ Day

Posted: 21st October 2025

Years 5 and 6 football and netball vs St James school

We love a team photo! Parsons Green Prep hosted St James School in Year 5 and Year 6 football and netball fixtures. In the football PGP displayed fantastic finishing, winning one match 10-2 and the other 14-0. In the netball both teams displayed excellent teamwork and handling. PGP won one match 10-4 and lost the other 15-9. Well done to everyone on an excellent afternoon of sport and thank you to St James School for travelling.

Senior Schools Fair

After a very successful Open Day and Play Date at Parsons Green Prep, we had our Senior Schools Fair. A big thank you to all the secondary schools who exhibited – it was great to see you. This is an opportunity for PGP parents and friends to learn more about the 11+ process and then meet the admissions teams at some of London’s best schools, who have stands in the hall and each do a short presentation on their school.  It’s a fascinating and very useful stepping stone on the path to our pupils’ next schools. You can see our latest 11+ results and which schools our pupils move on to here.

World Teachers’ Day

Sunday 5 October was World Teachers’ Day and we wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to our exceptional team of teachers. It takes a huge amount of hard work, training, knowledge and love to do what they do to ensure that the children feel safe, inspired and determined to achieve the very best they can while they are at PGP, from the classroom to the sports pitch and away on residentials. Thank you!

Year 1 go to the zoo

Year 1 had a fantastic time visiting Battersea Park Zoo. They loved identifying the different types of diets animals have by their teeth in their ‘Food for Thought’ workshop. They also acted out food chains and thought about how farmers look after their crops. The children really enjoyed seeing all the different animals, with otters and meerkats being a favourite. They asked a lot of interesting questions and consolidated their impressive knowledge of the different animal categories. We all had fun in the playground using water and sand to create fantastic inventions. It was a brilliant day out and we are so proud of the way everyone behaved. Well done Year 1!

Vizability

We have worked closely with Vizability, the Fulham design and print shop, for years. Among other things, they design our lovely adverts. A big thank you to Tahir and his team.
